Margaret Alve
Margaret is a counsellor and facilitator with the Wellington Division of the Cancer Society. She is on the Faculty of Skylight and co-owns the Because U Matter support service.
Margaret worked in family support with the Central Division of the Child Cancer Foundation for twelve years, becoming the Central Division family support manager. During this time she gained a diploma in counselling from Laidlaw College and a Post Graduate Certificate in Health Science from Auckland University.
In her roles with Cancer Society & Skylight Margaret has advanced her knowledge and experience of supporting people and groups seeking understanding in the face of their experiences with loss, grief, life transitions and change. She has a Certificate in Supervision from WelTec. Margaret is a Member of the NZ Christian Counsellors' Association (MNZCCA).
Margaret is a competent, engaging and motivational public speaker. She regularly receives feedback that her sessions are: very interesting, informative, creative and professional.
Margaret’s personality, professional development and life experiences have equipped her uniquely for her role as a speaker and trainer.
